Sheds
A permit is required for accessory sheds and toolrooms or similar buildings or structures used for domestic storage. Permits are not required for small prefabricated outdoor storage lockers and deck patio boxes, less than 5 feet in height and less than 15 square feet in size, with fixed shelving, which are not large enough to allow for an adult person to walk into.
Application Requirements
The following is needed in order to apply for a permit:
- Completed EZ Permit Application
- Signed copy of Shed Permit Guide
- A signed copy of the Homeowners Declaration Rider if you are part of a Homeowner Association (HOA).
- One (1) legible copy of the plat of survey of the property indicating the exact location and dimensions of the proposed shed with setbacks from side and rear property line and from principle structure (house).
- A copy of the contract between the homeowner and the contractor (if one is being used).
- Homeowner Affidavit if homeowner is doing any of the work themselves.
Fees
- Permit Fee of $70 due upon permit issuance

- A Base Pre-pour inspection is required for the foundation/slab
- A Final Shed inspection is required upon completion of the project.
