The Mokena Village Board earlier this year approved a 36-month agreement with Homefield Energy to supply electric power for residents and qualifying small commercial businesses located within the corporate limits of Mokena at potential savings off ComEd power supply rates.
The agreement with Homefield provides electric power supply at the following fixed rates:
* 7.031 cents/kWh through July, 2016; 6.536 cents/kWh thereafter through July, 2017
The average residential household enrolled in Mokena's electric aggregation program since its inception in 2012 has cumulatively saved a total of $459 on its electric power supply costs.
