The Village Board approved an agreement in June, 2012, with Chicago-based Integrys Energy Services, Inc. to supply electric power for residents and qualifying small commercial businesses located within the corporate limits of Mokena at substantial savings off current ComEd rates.
The agreement with Integrys, which runs through May, 2014, provides electric power supply at the following fixed rates for the term of the contract:
* Residential customers: 4.551 cents per kilowatt hour
* Qualifying small commercial customers: 5.028 cents per kilowatt hour
Residential customers not on space heat can expect to see savings of approximately 24% off currently published ComEd power supply rates. (ComEd rates are subject to periodic seasonal adjustments—your actual savings may be more or less at any given point in time.)
If you’re signed up with a supplier other than ComEd, you might want to assess your current individual agreement with that supplier and determine if moving into the Village’s aggregation program with Integrys may be to your advantage.
* Compare the rate, term, and conditions of your current individual agreement against the rate, term, and conditions being offered through Mokena’s aggregation program with Integrys.
* If you determine that moving into Mokena’s aggregation program is in your best interest, call Integrys at (855) 628-5491. Integrys staff will work to effect the switch so your power supply moves from your current supplier to Integrys.
